Shilo Shiv Suleman is a contemporary artist who combines illustration, installation, and technology to create immersive artworks. She explores the themes of magical realism, social justice, and embodied interactions. She has collaborated with neuroscientists to create artworks that interact with the user’s biofeedback sensors, such as Pulse and Bloom, a grove of steel lotuses that lit up to the pulse at Burning Man. She has also created Khoya, an iPad app that links technology and adventure for children. She has been featured on TED, BBC, Rolling Stone, and WIRED among other media outlets. She has exhibited her work at the Southbank Centre in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Her latest body of work, Semiprecious, investigates the forces of nature and the stories they tell. She is also the founder and director of the Fearless Collective, a network of artists who use community art to challenge gender violence.
