1. Entries are open for participants from across the globe.
2. This is a competitive category and the registrations will be closed on 8th August 2024, 11:59 PM IST
3. All registered participants will receive a Creator’s Agreement along with the theme and upload link on their registered email at the time of theme announcement. Check out the agreement here.
4. You can choose only one category during the time of registration and change it anytime before the end of the registration. You cannot change your category once the registrations are closed.
5. Participants will get the theme online on IFP’s Instagram as well as on the registered email ID and Whatsapp.
6. The compulsory element will be given at the beginning of the challenge. The design has to adhere to the theme, chosen category, and the compulsory elements.
7. The design has to be the original work of the designer.
8. Submission Size for Digital Illustration:
- Fan Art, Doodle, AI Art, and Poster and Cover Art– A2 Portrait 300 DPI (4961 pixels x 7016 pixels)
- UI Design, Brand Book - PDF (not exceeding 100 MB)
9. Submission File :
(a.) For Digital Illustration, Fan Art, AI Art, Doodle and Poster and Cover Art– PNG or JPEG. Maximum file size – 50 MB
(b.) For UI Design - PDF containing (Sample.pdf)
- Wireframe
- Final screen pages
- Splash Screen
- Write up about the design describing the vision of the flow and design (100 words)
- Basic Info, i.e. Color Palette, Type Font, Made for iOS or Android or Website.
(c.) For Brand Book - PDF containing (Sample.pdf)
- Brand name
- Brand logo, its variations
- Colour scheme
- Fonts, sizes, and style variations
- Images that reflect the brand and give examples as to what images can be used in the marketing strategy of the brand
- Brand language and communication style (for example, formal or informal, appealing the emotions of the audience, or cool and withdrawn).
- Packaging and merchandise (for example, if the brand is based on a product like a candle, the packaging of it should be included in the brand book )

Please keep an eye out for brand related guidelines in case there is one on board, they will be sent to you with the respective theme emails.
11. In case the selected design is sold at the event or online through any association of IFP, the participant will receive all the proceeds after deducting the platforms and logistic charges. In such a case, the designer will get full due credit for their work with the mention of his/her name.
12. Any disrespect towards a particular person, religion, groups or mention of violence, hatred, obscenity towards any particular community/person will not be qualified for the challenge.
13. Your submitted piece will be strictly restricted to the jury of the challenge.
14. The design cannot be released until the results are announced at the festival.
15. IFP and associated parties of IFP, in their sole discretion, can disqualify the piece deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant.
16. All the rights to the design will be certainly held by the participant.
17. This challenge is strictly for individual participants; no team entries are allowed. Each participant will receive an e-certificate from IFP.
18. once participation is confirmed, refunds will not be issued.
Q. How much time do I have to create my design for the challenge? A. You will receive the theme on Friday, Aug 09, 8pm IST and you will have to upload the design before Sunday, Aug 11, 10 pm IST. You will have 50 Hours to create your design..
Q. I am not from India. Can I participate? A. Ofcourse. Yes! IFP welcomes entries from around the globe.
Q. Is there a registration fee? A. Yes, there is a registration fee of INR 500 (USD 6). The payment is to be made online to confirm your registration. You will receive a unique Creator ID once the registration is confirmed.
Q. How do I submit my design? A. At the beginning of the challenge, you will receive an email with the theme as well as a link to upload/submit your design.
Q. What is the criteria for evaluation? A. Your submission will be evaluated on the following criteria -
(a.) For Digital Illustration, Fan Art, Doodle, Poster and Cover Art
- Visual composition - Conceptualization - Adherence to the respective theme and category.
(b.) For UI Design
- Relevance - Innovation - People-centric design - Integration
(c.) For Brand Book
- Synergy/Cohesive-ness - Explanation of Brand Identity through your design - Messaging of the brand - Usage of Colours
(d.) For AI Art -
- Vision - Attention To Detail - Clarity Of Thought - Out-of-the-box Thinking - Adherence To Theme
Q. Should my design revolve around or be based on the compulsory element? A. No. The compulsory element could be subtly placed anywhere in your design but not necessarily be highlighted.
Q. If the submitted design does not get selected for the winning design, can I use it elsewhere? A. If your submitted design does not get selected, you have the copyright to use it wherever you intend to.
Q. How do I make my AI Art different from the rest? A. Out of the box thinking would be really appreciated. Go as visually appealing as you can and give attention to every little detail in the design.
Q. Can we include our company logo in the design? A. No, you cannot add your or company’s logo on the design.
Q. Can I hand paint the design and then scan it to submit it? A. No, it has to be a graphically created design.
Q. Can I change my category after the registration? A. Yes, you can change your category anytime before the registration ends.
Q. Can I participate in more than one category? A. For each registration, you can submit only one design in your selected category. However, you can register multiple times in order to submit entries in more than one category.

Q. Can I change the size of my canvas to better suit my design? A. No, you will have to create the design in the size mentioned in the rules.
Q. Who will judge my design? A. Your design will be judged by an eminent pre-jury and jury with rich industry experience.
Q. Do I need to sign a Creator’s Agreement? A. Yes. Everyone who participates in the Design Challenge needs to sign a creator’s agreement. The agreement will help protect your rights as a creator and our rights as a platform.
Q. How do I submit my Design? A. At the beginning of the challenge, you will receive an email with the theme as well as a link to upload your design. Q. Is it an online challenge or do I need to come anywhere/Mumbai? A. You’ve to come nowhere for the challenge. You can participate from whichever city/country you are in.

A. The challenge is completely online. You can participate from the comfort of your home and submit through the submission form.
Q. What happens after I’ve submitted my work?
A. If you are nominated, you’ll receive an email for the same and will have to be present at the award ceremony for the final results at the IFP Festival which happens in Mumbai. If you’re not nominated, you can still attend the award ceremony and cheer for the winners.
