Emily Flake is a cartoonist, writer, illustrator, and performer living in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Her work appears regularly in the New Yorker, McSweeneys, Weekly Humorist, and many other publications. She is the author of several books, most recently "That Was Awkward: the Art and Etiquette of the Awkward Hug." She is also the founder and proprietor of St. Nell's, a humor writing residency for women/nb folks in Pennsylvania.
