Sharan Sharma graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010. His directorial debut – Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl was released on Netflix in August 2020. He has worked at Dharma Productions for over nine years, playing an active part in various film projects. He was the creative director of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (directed by Karan Johar). He was also the Associate Director on Lust Stories (directed by Karan Johar), and a director's assistant on Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (directed by Ayan Mukerji). Apart from this, he has also directed ad films for Dharma 2.0.
