Pushkar and Gayatri are a Chennai-based husband-and-wife filmmaking duo whose work is distinguished by a unique style, technical polish, and intricately constructed narratives. They began their careers as writers and directors with the Tamil features Oram Po and Va – Quarter Cutting, both quirky dark comedies. Their 2017 film Vikram Vedha is a sensational hit, sweeping that year's awards and emerging as the top-rated Indian film of 2017 on IMDb. In 2022, they directed its Hindi remake starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, which drew considerable critical acclaim. The duo made a striking entry into the OTT space with Suzhal – The Vortex, a tent-pole global series for Amazon Prime Video, serving as writers, showrunners, and producers across both seasons; the show has earned multiple awards in India and internationally. Through their production house, Wallwatcher Films, they have produced several popular long-format web series: Suzhal – The Vortex (Seasons 1 and 2), Vadhandhi (Seasons 1 and 2), and Exam — for Amazon Prime Video, along with the feature film Aelay, for Netflix. As Creative Producers, they personally curate and mentor every project under the Wallwatcher banner.
