Cargo, Arati Kadav’s debut feature film is the first SciFi spaceship film from India. It selected to have its international premiere at the prestigious South By Southwest (SXSW), Texas, Austin. It has been selected in 25 film festivals worldwide including BAFICI (Argentina), London, Sydney, and Miami Scifi, Fantaspoa (Brazil), Bifan (Korea), Revelations Perth, IFFLA, NYIFF, and won 5 Awards internationally including Audience Choice Awards and Best Scifi Film. It was also nominated for Asian Talent Award at the Shanghai film festival. Before joining films, Arati Kadav was an engineer from IIT, Kanpur, and working in Microsoft, Seattle. She followed her passion for filmmaking and joined a film school in India to study Film Direction. She also runs an underground movement for short filmmakers called ShortFilmWindow. She has made 4 short films in 35 mm that has been screened at 30+ film festivals, including the 40-minute film Time Machine that was acquired by Amazon Prime and Mubi.
