Ira Mukhoty is the author of four books of narrative history; Heroines, Daughters of the Sun, Akbar: The Great Mughal and The Lion and the Lily. These books largely deal with early modern history and the Mughal empire, and have been both critically acclaimed, and popular with a lay audience. Ira is particularly interested in the erasure of women’s voices, and the different ways in which they can be reclaimed and integrated into the broader narrative.
