Filmmaker
Dr. Sailesh Kolanu is an optometrist and a filmmaker. After completing his Ph.D. in optometry he went on to become an Associate Professor at UNSW Sydney. He taught himself filmmaking by reading books and attending workshops. His short film 'Checklist' won "Gold Film of the Year" at the 8th Edition of IFP's 50 Hour Filmmaking Challenge. In 2020, he made his first debut film "HIT - The First Case. He also directed the Hindi adaptation of the same film and is working currently working on the sequel HIT: The Second Case.
