William Dalrymple is a renowned Scottish historian, writer, and curator, celebrated for his deep explorations of the history of India, the Middle East, and the Islamic world. His most notable works include ‘City of Djinns’, ‘The Last Mughal,’ ‘White Mughals,’ and ‘Return of a King,’ which have won him multiple prestigious awards such as the Wolfson Prize for History, the Duff Cooper Prize, and the Hemingway Award. Dalrymple is also the co-founder of the Jaipur Literature Festival, the largest literary festival in the world, and has been instrumental in promoting South Asian history and culture globally.
