Karan Boolani began his career in advertising. He has produced over 500 commercials, filming in over 38 countries. He has worked with brands like Google, Mastercard, Nike, HUL, Pepsi, L'oreal. His short feature, La fourchette, played at a number of international festivals and won best film at the New York Short Film festival. His debut feature 'That Healing Feeling' toured the festival circuit and won him a lot of recognition in the Indian Documentary Fraternity. At 27 he was the youngest member on the executive board of the Indian Documentary Producers Association. In early 2016, he directed the final 12 episodes of 24 starring Anil Kapoor. This would go on to become the biggest Indian television show. His film Thankyou For Coming (2023) was played at Toronto Film Festival.
