Creative Director @Homegrown Varsha Patra is a cultural strategist, creative leader, and storyteller dedicated to reimagining Indian identity and championing next-gen creative voices. As the CEO, Co-Founder, and Creative Director of Homegrown, she has built one of India’s most influential ecosystems for contemporary culture spanning media, creativity, music and community. Under her leadership, Homegrown operates as a digital media publication, creative agency, content studio, experiential lab, culture festival and a newly formed music label in partnership with the global powerhouse, Atlantic Records. This multi-hyphenate structure allows her to shape culture across identity, art, fashion, music. travel, technology, film, food and more- powering perspectives that redefine and reimagine contemporary India. An INK Fellow and Lenovo Global Creator, Varsha’s work has been featured in Hypebeast, Vogue, CNBC, and more. Her background spans journalism, marketing, and entertainment, having previously worked with BBC, Sony Entertainment Television, Ogilvy & Mather, and tech-media startups in India and Los Angeles. She holds a Master’s in Marketing & Communication Management from USC and a Media & Journalism degree from Manipal Institute of Communication. She is also an alumna of Xavier’s, Mumbai. As a filmmaker under Homegrown Studios, she has directed and produced films for partners including Adidas Originals x Ranveer Singh, Bacardi, and Crocs and served as a creative consultant on Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan, shaping cultural insight and music discovery of artists Oaff & Savera."
