Aditya Kripalani is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, novelist, and musician known for his thought-provoking storytelling and independent cinema. A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), he began his creative journey as a novelist with Back Seat and Front Seat, both of which received strong critical attention. His third novel, Tikli and Laxmi Bomb, was adapted into his debut feature film, which went on to win multiple international awards and established him as a distinctive voice in socially conscious filmmaking. Aditya’s later films, including Tottaa Pataaka Item Maal, Devi Aur Hero, and Not Today, explore themes like gender equality, mental health, and social identity with empathy and realism.
